Christmas Wedding Ideas - A styled shoot at Stanton House Hotel by Judi Checketts photography

Recent years have seen both an increase in the number of weddings taking place and particularly winter weddings with more brides and grooms increasingly choosing to tie the knot at this time.  There is a special interest in Christmas weddings and with the large number of wedding venues available its never been easier to make your wedding look exactly as you want - or you can take advantage of the many hotels which will already be decorated for Christmas if you are looking save a bit of money.

Winter light is soft and flattering if you do manage to brave the cold for some outdoor images (and I strongly recommend you do!) while inside its cosy, warm with candles, roaring fires and plenty of festive spirit on offer.

Michelle and Graeme's wedding at Ardencote Manor

Despite the poor weather last year Michelle and Graeme had a wonderful day of sunshine for their wedding at Ardencote Manor.  I had the honour of shooting with John Cleary, a Warwickshire based wedding photographer.  The days started with John with the bride and me with the boys doing our getting ready shots. Magicians were a big hit at events last year and great for keeping the guests entertained and this wedding was no exception.  I also loved the little details Michelle had gone to especially the unusual wedding seating plan and her beautiful cake. Here are a few faves from the day.

STEAM Vintage Wedding Fayre Feb 2013

I'm happy to confirm that I will be exhibiting at the STEAM Vintage Wedding Fayre next year.  Put February 10th 2013 in your diaries now as it promises to be a great regional show for brides-to-be.

English Country Wedding at Merriscourt, Cotswolds - part 2

Here's the second instalment from our bridal shoot at Merriscourt (you can read part 1 here).  Here the girls have changed into a gorgeous knee length dresses for both bride and bridesmaid with a summery pink colour scheme.  Deep crimson and prink peonies with some vintage styled jewelery really set off this look as they enjoyed a summer picnic looking out over the Cotswolds.  The gorgeous china and bunting completed the look and the cupcakes were devine - needless to say they didn't last long after the shoot was complete but more about those and the other props that were used in this shoot to come in part 3 of this styled shoot.
