Pre-wedding Shoot at Barton House, Oxfordshire

I had such a great shoot last week with Emma and Andy for their pre-wedding shoot.  The weather was beautiful and we had a gorgeous location at Barton House.  These two just rocked in their shoot - they looked perfect together and very much in love.  A full post will follow in time but for now here's a look at a few of the lovely images we captured.

Natalie & Mark's Engagement Shoot, Stanton Park at Stanton Fitzwarren nr Swindon

Last week I posted a feature on Spittlebrough Wedding Fayre and announced the winners of the engagement shoot competition - Natalie and Mark.  We arranged their shoot at Stanton Park close to the Stanton House Hotel (handy for lunch afterwards!) in Stanton Fitzwarren just north of Swindon on what turned out to be one of the hottest days of the year this summer.  Fortunately there was plenty of shade where we could cool off and we got some great shots of the two of them.  I'm hugely excited to announce that following their shoot they have booked me for their wedding next year - I can't wait!

Becca & Chris' Engagement Shoot in the Lake District

We had a lovely day for this shoot - first we did some relaxed portrait shots getting Chris and Becca comfortable in front of the lens.  Then we headed off to find some cornfields - it was September and these were the last of the crops to be harvested from the summer.  They made for some lovely romantic shots and by now Chris and Becca were so comfortable they'd forgotten about me and my camera.  I was able to grab some great natural images of the two of them.

Romantic Couple Shoot

Sophie and Dan are very much love's young dream.  I met them on a recent trip to the wonderful Aspire in the Lake District.  This was a shoot I set up with fellow photographer Sandi Gall and together we got some great shots of these two.  We were lucky with the weather - one of the few glorious summer days we have had this year.  It allowed us to be outside where I prefer to work with natural light getting some relaxed pictures of this young couple.  Here are some favourites of the shots I captured.

Sneal peak of Tom and Kat engagement shoot at Friars Court, Clanfield

Here's a quick sneak peak of a lovely engagement shoot from the weekend.  We've had so much rain this week but the weather stayed dry on Sunday long enough to get some gorgeous pictures of this lovely couple.

Friars Court is a lovely wedding venue with beautiful gardens, perfect for getting some stunning engagement photographs.  I'm looking forward to their wedding next year and fingers crossed it will be a drier one!!

Share the Love on Valentine's Day: A Joint Promotion with Thanks A Bunch, Faringdon

I've been working with Holly at Thanks A Bunch in Faringdon almost since we moved here to The Vale of White Horse in Oxfordshire 18 months ago. I have done a collection of images for her website as well as promotional images for special occasions - Christmas, weddings and recently Valentine's day.

In the summer Debbie joined Holly and they have expanded their weddings portfolio and we did a bridal shoot at Kingston Bagpuize House. I really love going into their shop in Faringdon - the gorgeous smell or floral blooms hits you as soon as you step through the door.

Now that spring is on its way (well, it was approaching... I had a daffodil almost in flower and then the cold snap arrived!!) and Valentine's day is round the corner it presented a fabulous opportunity to do a promotion together.
