One boy and his dog - Stanford in the Vale photo competition winner

Its almost time once again for this year's Summer Fete at Stanford in the Vale - hopefully this spell of good weather will continue into the weekend.  Last year the organising committee put out a photo competition on the theme of animals.  I was delighted to offer a prize for the children's entry for a 30 mins portrait session and complimentary mounted print from the session.

The winner was Ben Haines with his lovely black and white image of his dog Darcy.

Ben choose to have his photo session with Darcy as his prize and we finished the session with a photograph with all his siblings.  Here are a few images from the session taken last summer:

There's still time to get your entries in for this year's competition - the theme is "My favourite place in Stanford" and there are categories for Adult and Children's entries.  The competition winners will be announced at 4pm on Sunday by the organising committee.
