Friday Foto - Why I love this image

One of the important tasks while photographing a wedding is to capture the key moments from the day - the ones that tell the story but are likely to be missed by friends and family who are not aware of these moments as they are happening but are overjoyed to see them later as part of the wedding day story.  Its the documentary photographer's job to capture these images.

This image of the Groom and his father was taken outside the church just before they went inside.  I love this moment as its a happy, relaxed image of father and son - totally natural and undirected.  The only key that the ceremony has yet to come is the groom is holding his ring finger in anticipation.

If your planning your wedding or just engaged and already thinking about your photography as an important part of your day do get in touch as I'd love to discuss more about my wedding services with you.  All packages come with a complimentary engagement session which includes a printed 8x6" photograph.  More information about my packages and further examples of work can be viewed online.

Pippa's Maternity Shoot at home near Faringdon, Oxfordshire

I arranged Pippa's maternity shoot just 2 weeks before her due date, and it turned out we did it just in time as baby Kaitlin was born a week later!  The shoot was done at their home and incorporated a couple of outfit changes to give variety to the images and show off her gorgeous bump.  Here are a selection of Pippa's maternity images.

Maternity shoots are best done at 32-36 weeks and are often combined with a newborn booking.  If you are expecting a baby and would like some photographs to celebrate this special time please do get in touch to arrange a shoot or an informal chat.

Friday Foto - Why I love this image

It's Friday Foto on Valentine's Day - and if you are one of the many couples getting engaged today huge congratulations to you!

In celebration of February 14th and all things romantic I have chosen a special image  from a lovely pre-wedding shoot which conveys that intimacy and togetherness of a couple newly engaged.

The success of the image is all about the golden triangle - light, emotional connection and composition.  Like so many couples I meet, Mark and Natalie weren't keen on being photographed and thought themselves not to be particularly photogenic. I'm glad to say this shoot changed their minds and I can't wait to shoot their wedding later this year!

If your planning your wedding or just engaged and already thinking about your photography as an important part of your day do get in touch here as I'd love to discuss more about my wedding services with you.  All packages come with a complimentary engagement session and a printed 8x6" photograph.  More information about my packages and further examples of work can be viewed online.

Business Headshots - business portraits for Oxfordshire company

These days every business needs an up-to-date website and that includes making sure your business profiles for relevant staff are current too.  Poorly focussed snapshots which are often under-exposed won't cut it in todays business world.  Investing in some professional head-shots to present your image to the world will further promote your brand and encourage potentiate clients and associates to network with you.  Read more about this on my previous post about the need for good business head-shots.

Last year I was contacted by a local business to update their head shots for a new business website.  They recognised that re-branding their business required a new look to their staff profiles too.  The brief was to capture some relaxed photographs with a mix of professional and more casual images.  As a Coaching Consultancy for senior managers it was important their head shots would present them as professional as well as "approachable" with a "come and talk to us" image.

Here are a few of the images from the shoot.

If you are interested in updating your business portraits then please get in touch for an informal chat or to book a session.  I can offer professional, stylish and friendly head shots, for groups and individuals as well as "on the job" or product images for local businesses.
